How Sweet

We have been insanely busy the past month. I don't know where the time has gone. Nicholas is almost 4 months...WHAT!!! I can't believe it. He is already on the go. He sits up all on his own, not for long, but he loves to be sitting up or standing. He doesn't really like the bouncer anymore because it is reclined. He loves to have conversations with you and loves starring at his big brother it is really cute how happy he gets when Jake comes around. Paul will finally be returning to work on Jan. 5. It has been really nice having him around for the past months but its definitely time for him to return. Jake has been really good and has been saying some really funny things...he calls me sweetheart and the stuff that comes out of his mouth...I just can't take it. We can't wait for Christmas and the start of a New Year!!!

Mr. Potato Head

So this past week we went to visit baby Anthony. While we were there Jake discovered Mr. Potato glasses. Well he put them on his face and called them his. We were laughing so hard and how hilarious he looked however the laughter then turned even funnier because Jake wasn't being silly about it...he was dead serious that these were his glasses. He went to the bathroom with them on, he kissed everyone goodbye with them on, and even took pictures with them. My sister has some really good ones but my camera was in the car so I got him taking a nap with them on. I took them off him while he was sleeping because they were leaving indents in his head, but when he woke up he was so pissed they weren't on his face.

Nicholas' baptism

Nicholas was baptized this past Sunday. Here are both sides of his family along with his wonderful godmother Katie and wonderful godfather Eric. It was a beautiful ceremony and party. Thanks to everyone who celebrated with us we love you all so much.

Halloween

Jakes Halloween started last Friday when we took him to a Halloween party with tons of kids. He loved tackling them all...(somehow we are going to have to teach him that he can't pin everyone to the ground) before he goes to school. On Halloween we went to Grandma Perainos school first to visit her and her classrooms. All the kids were giving high fives...he loved it. Then off to Grandma & Papa Hoffman's where we visited with cousin Charlie and Auntie Melissa for a little before heading off to our Aunts house where the boys ran..and ran...and ran. Charlie and Jake were playing SO good together. By the time we got home Jake was done with his costume, Nicholas was starving...as well as Paul and I. We never went trick or treating around our house but our neighbors came to us so we got to see everyone....

How time flies

Nicholas is getting so big. I put a 3-6 month outfit on him today thinking it would be way to big but it FITS him. It's a little long but I thought for sure he would be swimming in it. Paul is still home and is projected to be home until the end of November. He really did a number on his knee. We have begun the search for a preschool for Jake...I know sounds early but I guess there are waiting lists for all these schools...I think it is crazy. We are signing him up for some classes at our soon to be fitness center where he can play with KIDS... He keeps telling me he wants to go to school with Kids....(its all because of this new cartoon he is watching but I figured while he is interested we should go with it)

Congratulations

Congratulations to my brother and his girlfriend Melissa who got engaged on Saturday!!!! We are so happy for you guys and can't wait for Melissa to officially be part of our family....even though we already consider you family. We love you both!!

Casting Call

So they were having this casting call for the cutest kids at Gap last Friday. I figured I would have shopping to do anyway so if anything I would have free professional pictures taken. Well after standing in line for over an hour and a half (thank God Paul and my mom where with me) Jake was a ham for the camera and the ladies taking the pictures of course. When I opened them up today I noticed that Jakes head is cut off at the top. Nothing is ever free!!!

Best Buds

Here are some new pics of the boys. Nicholas is still a sleepy head and such a cuddler. Jake is the complete opposite, however he has been such a good boy with potty training. He goes pee on the potty all the time however number 2 has been a little challenge. The great thing is he loves to wear his Thomas the Train and Cars underwear. He also loves his brother and is always tending to him.

2 Weeks and already changing

I can't believe Nicholas is already 2 weeks. Unfortunately Nick has come down with a little cold. Everything is fine, he has a dry cough and is a little nasally. He must have got this from Jake who has been sick for about a week now. Paul does not need surgery and will be off work for another 3-4 weeks so he can rehabilitate his knee. Here are some new pictures of Nicholas. He is awake a lot more now but is still such an angel. Jake has become a little Picasso. He loves paints! We are looking at putting him some classes so he can play with kids more. He is so big I can't believe it.

Mom and Baby are great! He is such a good boy and brother Jake just loves him so much. He does everything with him that I do. It is so sweet to watch even on no sleep.

Last Visit to the Doctor before the Big Day

Today was my last visit to the doctor. If I don't go on my own, I will be induced on Wednesday, September 10. I was dialated to 2cm. My blood pressure was a little high and the baby is looking like another big one so the doctor said I can be induced. Since this is what I know from last time (jake) I was happy to hear that.

The baby is almost here

Just a quick update-

We had a baby appt this past Monday. Everything still looks on track (baby is still measuring BIG). I am 38 weeks and my next appt is Sat. Sept 6 unless something opens up before that. If I don't go into labor before this day we will be scheduling a day to be induced that week. We are so excited and can't believe he is almost here. Every night I have been having very strong kicks and Braxton hixs contractions so maybe he will make his entrance into the world early. Jake has been helping me get ready for baby brother. Today he helped me sanitize the bottles and clean all his toys. I think he is going to make a great big brother.

Jake had a fun filled weekend with his family. First we went to Nibbles cafe with cousin Charlie and had a blast tearing up the place and playing the musical instruments. On Saturday we played in the pool with Daddy and learned how fearless he is of the water. He was putting his whole face right under water and did it over and over again. He was even jumping in off the side. We thought this was amazing considering the last time he was in the pool was Cabo last September.
